NOTICE:
All Bedford City Offices will be closed on Friday, April 7th, 2023, in observance of Good Friday.
TASC BUSES WILL NOT BE RUNNING.
All Friday trash routes will be picked up as regularly scheduled on April 7th.
Special Assistance/Rear Loader routes will be picked up on Monday, April 10th.
Also, Compost and Recycle routes will be picked up on Monday, April 10th.

Road closure JWB 3/21/2023 9am - 12pm

On Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 9:00 am until approximately 12:00 pm, John Williams Blvd will be closed all lanes at O Street to Lincoln Ave to pave the road cut. O St will be closed North of John Williams Blvd. to 8th St. and South of John Williams Blvd to the alley between 10th St and John Williams Blvd while paving John Williams Blvd. The road cut paving comes after installation of the new piping of 24 inch sanitary sewer pipe in John Williams Blvd. The City of Bedford received a transportation and storm water grant to complete this project. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you in advance for your cooperation as we continue to improve the infrastructure for our city.
Emergency personnel as well as the postal service have been notified of these closures. If you are aware of deliveries, please let them know of the closures. Please avoid these areas if possible. Be patient, cautious and aware of heavy equipment in these areas.

Road closure O St North of JWB to 8th St 3/20 - 3/27

O St North of John Williams to 8th St will remain closed from March 21 - 27, 2023 to continue excavation and new piping of 24 inch sanitary sewer pipe. Updates will be given as the project continues with schedule dependent on weather conditions.

Road Closure and Lane Restrictions JWB and O St

On Wednesday afternoon, March 15, 2023 Westbound Lanes of John Williams Blvd will be diverted into one lane of eastbound John Williams Blvd around construction and O St will be closed north of John Williams Blvd. to 8th St. John Williams Blvd south to 10th St will be open. This pattern is estimated to continue through Saturday, March 18, 2023. Road will be closed and lane restrictions for excavating and new piping of 24 inch sanitary sewer pipe in John Williams Blvd. The City of Bedford received a transportation and storm water grant to complete this project. Updates will be given as the project continues with schedule dependent on weather conditions.

Entrance to Love on a Leach Grooming Parlor at 926 O St for customers will need to use 10th St to enter and exit. Storage Express customers can use 10th St for access. Road will be closed for excavating and new piping of 24 inch sanitary sewer pipe in John Williams Blvd.

Road Closure US 50 W/ 16th St West of Brian Lane Way and S St
March 10, 2023
16th St/US 50 West in westbound lanes will be closed west of S Street and Brian Lane Way from Monday March 13 – 16, 2023 dependent on weather and schedule.
Entrance to Parkview Primary and Intermediate will still be accessible from 16th St. Access to businesses west of the road closure will be accessible from 37. Semi truck traffic can use business 50 to 37 North to access west 16th St/US50.
The road lanes closure is due to an emergency repair to the sanitary sewer line in 16th St. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you in advance for your cooperation as we continue to improve the infrastructure for our city.

Road Closure O St from John Williams Blvd. to alley between 10th and JWB
February 24, 2023
O street will be closed south of John Williams Boulevard to the alley between 10th Street and John Williams Boulevard the week of 2/27/2023 – 3/3/2023. Entrance to Love On A Leash Grooming Parlor at 926 O St for customers will need to use 10th Street to enter and exit. Storage Express customers can use John Williams Blvd until construction moves north towards John Williams Blvd at which time access will be 10th St. When construction begins in front of the entrance to Storage Express during the time period above, customers will need to use the Storage Express back entrance west of the entrance on O Street. Road will be closed for excavating and existing manhole coring for a new piping connection and begin laying new 24 inch sanitary sewer pipe going north on O St to John Williams Blvd.
The City of Bedford received a transportation and stormwater grant to complete this project. Updates will be given weekly on the location of construction along the route.
