NOTICE: All City of Bedford Offices will be closed on Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. TASC buses will not be running. All Thursday trash routes will be picked up on Saturday, November 30th. All Thursday Special Assistance/Rear Loader/Recycle routes will be picked up on Monday, December 2nd. All Friday trash will be picked up as regularly scheduled on November 29th . All Friday Special Assistance/Rear Loader/Recycle routes will be picked up on Tuesday, December 3rd.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the State of Indiana are requiring us to document the material of all service lines in our community water system including the water line running from the meter to the inside of your home or business. Please take a quick peek at the water lines on the inside of your home coming in from the meter and tell us what material it is made of—if it is not obvious like copper or plastic, a detailed explanation of how to determine the material can be found on our survey link. Effective October 13, 2024, a precautionary boil order is being issued for the following addresses: 3207 W Street, 3115 W Street, 2232 32nd Street, 2227 32nd Street This precautionary boil order will remain in force until further notice. The order is being issued due to a repair of a water main. Bring all water to a boil. Let water boil vigorously for 2 minutes. Let water cool before using, or alternatively, use bottled water. Pre-boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, brushing teeth, washing vegetables, washing dishes, making infant formula, all food preparation and consumption, and making or using ice until further notice.
