Storm Water Office Doing Grease Trap Inspections To Prevent FOG
Friday, March 20, 2015

FOG---  is Fats, Oils, and Grease.  There will be a concentrated effort by the Stormwater office to inspect and make sure all eating establishments are in compliance with city ordinances and state laws.  All restaurants are required to have and maintain a grease trap in their system to prevent grease from entering the sewer system.  This unwanted grease results in havac in the cities sewer system.  This is considered a Illicit Discharge.  Inspections will be done on a regular basis by our Storm Water Coordinator Mike Reynolds.
